Feedback for choice on song and monologue for a High School Musical audition?

My community theatre is doing High School Musical. Seeing as I don't view myself as a Gabriella or a Sharpay, I've decided that I want to specifically audition for Kelsey. I've decided on "Another Op'nin', Another Show" from Kiss Me Kate as my song. Then I've chosen a monologue from the movie "That Thing You Do!". It's Faye's speech to Jimmy, breaking it off between them, to anyone who's seen it. There's also the dance portion, but I'm not really a great dancer. So I was hopefully wondering if anyone could give me some feedback as to whether my song and monologue choice are all right if I want to be Kelsey. I figure it shows my range, being a sad, dramatic monologue and an upbeat, "smiling" song. Also, if anyone has some tips on what to wear for the dancing portion, yet still look "Kelsey"-esque, that'd be great. I was also curious as to what kind of dancing shoes work best?(considering I need to buy some) Anyways, in advance, thanks for your advice. It is much appreciated!
