I really hate my wedding dress. I think it is ugly, and alterations didn't help?

I found one I can wear off the rack that I LOVE. It is really inexpensive, and my fiance offered to buy it for me. My mother bought the original, and I am worried about hurting her feelings. Do I sound like a bridezilla? Should I just suck it up and wear the original dress to avoid hurting my mother's feelings?
