Dating...Do you go forward after you hear this from your "girl"?

Been talking to this girl for 2 1/2 weeks, we hung out 3 x's now, seems to ibe nto me, and the same me into her. She called me at 3:30a.m. last night to tell me her ex-boyfriend(who she "can't stand") called her and misses her. What do i do> how do I take that?she didn't need to tell me-she didn;t need to answer his 330 am call either. I am confused-please point me in the right direction. Do i let it be, or is this a sign of what's in store. She says he means nothing and he's looking for a hook-up? again confused BIG TIME?
