This is a ubuntu question? I went to www.ubuntu.com downloaded 32/64 bit no luck?

Okay, this is what happen..I'm trying to run Virtual PC on my computer which is a build one, this are the specs..EVGA 750i SLI FTW Q6600, Video EVGA 9600 GT OC...Now I already installed Virtual PC without a problem. I downloaded 64 bit and 32 bit from ubuntu.com but i'm a getting this error: 32-bit: I'm getting a processor unconpatible problem, i forgot what it was.. 64 bit: I can get to the GUI part of installation but then after a couple of seconds i get a GUI error which it says: "An unrecoverable processors error has been encountered. The Virtual Machine will reset now" ..NOW ANY HELP ON HOW TOMAKE THIS WORK, WILL BE REALLY APPRECIATED>>THANKS>>
