What is with AMC and?

all the sad depressing stories? Why do the ones that are in the psych ward have to wear grey and look pathetic? And what is up with Hanna wanting to kill kendall all of the sudden? that came out of no where. Is it me or is AMC so sad and depressing it isn't worth watching anymore even though I have been a faithful watcher for almost 30 yrs now.
